La New Balance 2002R Protection Pack Lunar New Year Dusty Lilac présente une base qui associe mesh, cuir lisse et suède. Cette nouvelle version présente un design penchant vers le gris. Celle-ci affiche un jeu de couleurs allant du gris clair à un rose poudré.

Le logo New Balance se pare lui aussi de gris entouré de blanc. L’aspect déconstruit est apporté par l’effet brut des bords de chaque empiècement et de la languette. Une semelle beige couplant les technologies N-Ergy et ABZORB finalise l’ensemble.
